Preflight briefing

One plane, one climbing multiplier, and one decision: when to get off. Here is the whole game in about ninety seconds of reading.

The round

Every round runs on the same six-second boarding clock. Place a stake while the doors are open, the plane takes off, and a multiplier starts climbing from 1.00×. Cash out and your stake is multiplied by whatever the number reads at that instant. Wait too long and the plane flies away, taking the stake with it.

The plane's departure point is decided the moment the doors close, before you can influence it. Nothing you do in the air changes when it goes.

Placing a bet

  1. Set a stake in slot A or slot B — type it, use the steppers, or tap a quick amount.
  2. Press Place bet while the boarding bar is filling. Bet during a flight instead and it books onto the next departure.
  3. Changed your mind? Cancel bet refunds you until the plane leaves.

Cashing out

While the plane is climbing, the action button turns green and shows what you would collect right now. Press it. On a keyboard, Space cashes out slot A and Shift+Space cashes out slot B.

Auto cash out

Tick the box under a slot and set a multiplier. The slot cashes itself out the moment the climb reaches that number, which is useful if you would rather commit to a plan than react to a rising number.

Why two slots?

Most people split them: a cautious stake in A set to auto cash out around 1.50×, and a smaller stake in B held by hand for a longer climb. Slot B losing hurts less when slot A has already landed.

Reading the chart

The play area is an aeronautical chart. The plotted line is the multiplier over time, the vertical axis is the multiplier, and the horizontal axis is seconds since takeoff. When the round ends, the track turns red and the chart gets stamped with the departure point.

How the departure point is picked

Each round the game draws a random number and turns it into a crash point on a long-tailed curve, with a small built-in edge. Most flights end early: roughly half stall under 2×, and 10× or better is rare. Two percent of rounds never leave the ground at all and stall at 1.00×.

This runs entirely in your browser using the standard random number generator. It is a toy model of how commercial crash games behave, not a certified one — because nothing is at stake, it doesn't need to be.

Worth saying plainly

The credits are score. There is no deposit, no withdrawal and no prize. Nobody who plays this well is any better at real gambling than they were before — those games are built so the house wins over time, and no amount of practice changes that.
